Abstract :
A fatigue driving model was established to investigate the relationship of driver fatigue with driving action and driving dynamics parameters. The target of this model is providing a theoretical basis for early warning study of fatigue driving. The model includes parameters of perception, decision-making and driving operations. From a step test with steady-state in the correction link these parameters can be determined and then the driver/vehicle closed-loop system simulation model can be set up. The sigmoid function was used as the discriminant function of fatigue by taking account the characteristics of the human body fatigue. Derived evaluation index system of the closed-loop system was also provided in the model. Driving fatigue process of a driver in double-lane and vertical cross lane was simulated by using the proposed model. The simulated results qualitatively coincide with the reported experimental observations, verifying the feasibility of the method.
