Abstract :
A load management system based on graphic control by power line carrier is proposed in this paper. The hardware of this system is composed of a control module, a monitoring module, and a controlled module. The control module is accomplished with a computer and an adapter. The monitoring module includes a digital meter, a network server, and an adapter. The controlled module consists of a network circuit, an output circuit, and controlled objects. The man-machine interface is achieved with LabVIEW. This program can realize the aim of real-time graphic control, and its interface is clear. The UDP is taken as the protocol between the computer and the network-controlled module. In addition, the communication standard among modems is Homeplug 1.0. The real-time measured data of the digital meter are delivered to the computer via TCP/IP. The computer is used for monitoring and control. The computer delivers commands to the network circuit and changes the states of switches. From this system, the load condition and the remote control can be integrated, which can optimize the load operation and achieve the aim of load management.
