  • Abstract
    Generally, the traditional algorithms of vehicle license plate location are not able to deal with different kinds of license plates. In order to solve this problem, after considering the characteristics of color, edge, texture and geometry size around license plate, a morphology method based on modified top-hat transform is presented in this paper. The experimental result shows that this new method has strong robustness and can be applied in various conditions.
