Abstract :
In order to investigate the characteristics of the reaction between SO2 in flue gas and Na2SO3, the effective ingredient in absorption solution during the process of sodium alkali FGD. The volumetric overall mass transfer coefficient (KGa) for SO2 removal from flue gas into aqueous solution of Na2SO3 was studied in a packing column with PP rosette packing. The KGa value was evaluated over ranges of main operating variables, the concentration of SO2 in inlet gas, gas flow rate, the liquid sprayed density and Na+ concentration in solution. And the experimental results indicate that the effect of SO2 concentration in inlet gas,gas flow rate and liquid sprayed density on KGa is significant. KGa could be improved by increasing gas flow rate and liquid sprayed density, and by decreasing SO2 concentration in inlet gas. The concentration of Na+ in absorbent has no significant impact on KGa.
