Abstract :
Michelson interferometer is widely used to implement wavelength interleaver, and its different variants have been investigated from physicist´s point of view. From signal processing prospect, the Michelson interferometer can be viewed as a special kind of infinite impulse response (IIR) filter. In this article, the IIR filter model of the generalized Michelson interferometer is developed. With this model, researchers would gain more insights regarding Michelson interferometer performance evaluation and increase their degree of freedom in Michelson interferometer design.
