Abstract :
Two-stage matrix converter (TSMC) is a kind of new matrix converter developed on the basis of the conventional nine-switch matrix converter and, by virtue of its advantages, more suitable for serving as the exciter of doubly-fed wind power generation system. This paper made a deep analysis to the topology structure of TSMC and took accordingly the PWM space vector and zero current commutation to research its control strategy and commutation strategy. A simulation model based on Matlab/Simulink is built for the TSMC, and the simulation confirmed the feasibility and validity of control scheme.
