Abstract
A special software package to manage the engineering staff of a project of 500 technical persons and additional smaller projects totalling an additional 500 engineering persons was put in place at a large defense manufacturer´s plant manufacturing military vehicles. The manufacturing art of the project was not originally included in the system. The theory of the management system and the events occurring in the six months prior to and 18 months following introduction of the system are described
