Abstract :
3D-Magnetic Resonance (MR)-phase contrast techniques produce 7D flow data sets (3D volume, 3 vector components and time resolution up to 20 heart phases), which offer a large number of interpretation and analysis methods, such as vector field analysis, (cone-, streamline- and vector plots), volume and area changes due to the heart beat, and flow profiles in the region of interest. Visualization techniques are adjusted to the specific cases and quantitative analysis methods are presented.
