Abstract :
The electric power steering system (EPS) is the necessary trend of automobile steering system. This paper defines the basic structure and work principle of the system, designs an automobile electric power steering system based on MC68HC908AB32 singlechip, introduces it´s hardware form and software frame, adopts PID strategy to carry through closed loop control to motor current, and uses PWM technology to control motor voltage to adjust power current for the purpose of intelligent steering. The results of the experiment shows that the system has well power characteristic and has passed the experiment on automobile.
