Abstract :
A non-quasi-static implementation of the harmonic balance method in the context of coupled device and circuit simulation is presented. It is compared with a previous quasi-static implementation for accuracy and performance. The accuracy of the efficient quasi-static approach is limited by the transition frequency of the device. The non-quasi-static approach is accurate but requires significant computing resources.
