Abstract
Since mobile computing is getting more widespread, providing QoS guarantees and mobility support for Internet devices has become a hot research topic in the next generation Internet technologies. This paper proposed a scheme by extending RSVP to further improve wireless QoS guarantees in HMIPv6 based networks. The key features of the scheme include dynamic resource reservation, priority, pre-registration, and path prediction. Our simulation and experimental results show that the proposed scheme works well in mobile environments.
