Abstract :
As a single-class-single-server-multi-stations polling system, Master-Slave/Token-Passing protocol is one choice of Link layer in the BACnet system. A mathematical model based on queue theory is built for MS/TP protocol, and makes a series numerical value analysis on model with respect to network performance parameter and BACnet service styles. By the experiment, it is argued that the model is likely used to optimize MS/TP parameters and to help designing MS/TP control network system, especially when traffic load is lower than 60%.
