Abstract :
The desktop metaphor in its original sense, offers the possibility of giving a document a position on the screen. In practice, strict limitations in screen real estate makes it difficult to utilize this content-position relationship. Here, a methodology to overcome these problems of limited screen space is presented. This is achieved by creating an information space based on points-of-interest (POIs). The position of a document (icon) is defined through the combined influence from all of the POIs
