Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new periodic broadcasting scheme, called Regular/Sub-channel Staggered Broadcasting, for mobile VOD system. The proposed scheme improves the existing Staggered Broadcasting scheme by partitioning the network channels into regular and sub-channels for reducing the service latency of mobile users as well as minimizing the server bandwidth requirement
