Abstract :
This paper proposes the design and construction of three phase, 220/380 V, 3.4/2.0 A, Delta/Y connected, 4 poles, 0.75 kW a self-exited induction generator (SEIG). Analysis of the designed SEIG uses a finite element method. The designed SEIG has been tested and compared with a standard SEIG under operating conditions such as no-load and on-load with pure resistive load. Consideration of capacitance for the SEIG based on equivalent circuit model under steady-state load conditions and a power flow diagram is given. Research results can be guidelines for development of effective wind induction generators for electricity generation.
