Abstract :
Numerical busbar protection is now available as a mature product. The 3-out-of-3 concept guarantees the highest security against false operation while high availability is achieved with total self-monitoring. The hardware consists of a few standardised components and adaptation to the individual busbar configurations is possible by software parameterizing with PC tools. The advantages for the user include easy projecting, fast testing and commissioning, as well as reduced maintenance expenditure due to comprehensive self-monitoring
