Abstract :
In this paper, to achieve high voltage transfer gains in a dc-dc converter, the concept of evolution in the output section of dc-dc converters is introduced. A series of novel output enhanced circuits are proposed to realize the concept of evolution in the output section. The output enhanced circuits consists of capacitors and diodes, and can be combined with some positive output dc-dc converters. The application examples based on the classical boost converter and developed voltage-lift SEPIC converters are illustrated. All derived topologies avoid adding accessorial power switch and transformers. The topology construction guidelines are helpful for circuit design and engineering education in the area of power electronics.
