Abstract :
The ship unloading system for the Mississauga Cement Plant in Southern Ontario is discussed. Criteria for the choice of the unloading equipment are examined, and the selected system and its operation are described. It is concluded that the vertical-screw type of unloading equipment has performed extremely well. The cost of operating the equipment has remained well within the expected limits. Numerous photographs illustrating the operation of the unloading system are presented
