Abstract
One of the major challenges for video collaboration lies in video conferencing in low bandwidth and low cost. In this paper we discuss about a server less desktop based video conferencing application that has been built around a highly bandwidth efficient H.264 video compression technology. The proposed solution offers a low cost multiparty video conferencing solution suitable for corporate environment over multicast backbone and a mechanism of providing user a manual control over the transmission rate depending on the available bandwidth.
