Application Design of Data Packet Capturing Based on Sharpcap

In this paper, a new method is proposed about how to capture data with Sharp cap on dot Net. Sharp cap is a development package of capturing the first floor network data on the dot Net platform. It supports VB.Net and C#.Net development language. The basic principle is through establishing the network adapter as the monitor pattern, all data that flows through data linker layer is captured. This article has outlined the internal composition and the function of Sharp cap. At the same time it has introduced how to capture data packet with Sharp cap. Finally it makes contrast between effective procedure with Sharp cap and wire shark which is a special tool.
