Abstract :
In this paper a new sensitivity measure, called v-sensitivity, is defined. The computation issue of this sensitivity is addressed. When applied to the design of a robust controller with fixed structure, an algorithm is developed to tune controller parameters so that the robust design is achieved. To verify the algorithm, a practical unit feedback control problem of designing a PI controller for a second order plant with parametric uncertainty is considered. Simulation result of tuning the controller gains shows the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
