Abstract :
Results of preliminary study of temporal characteristics of the XeCl-laser capacitance preionization are presented. The preionization of active medium is one of the major factors, which determines operation of electric-discharge lasers. The roles played by HCl density as well as optimal delay between the main discharge and auxiliary preionization discharge are investigated.
