Abstract :
An ad hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes dynamically forming a temporary network without the use of any existing network infrastructure or centralized administration. Due to the limited transmission range of wireless network interfaces, multiple network "hops" are needed for one node to exchange data with another across the network. For handling traffic management routing is also essential in WANET. Table-based routing algorithms used in proactive protocols are computationally intensive and require periodic transmission of status information amongst all network nodes. To adapt rapidly changing topology reactive protocols such as AODV are used. Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector Protocol (AODV) generate routes for unknown destination paths on an as needs be basis. Paper describes implementation of Routing of AODV protocol using MATLAB based True time simulator. Since the effect of power variation on protocol parameters, study of variation in parameters like packet delivery ratio and end to end delay with changes in power is carried out. The simulation results are presented in the paper.
