Abstract
By analyzing the applicability of NSIS protocols in the mobile IPv6 environment, this paper proposes a hierarchical resource reservation mechanism based on the crossover node (CRN). The mechanism reserves the resources along the path from mobile node (MN) to correspondent node (CN) by stages. When node moving, we can split the reservation path between MN to CN into two parts. That is to say, one is the part from CRN to MN´s care-of address (CoA), and the second one is from CRN to CN. The reservation algorithm and process are also presented. While the MN moves in the neighbor domains, according to the research data of the MN mobility, the time of building reservation is shorter than that of NSIS, with better performance.
