Abstract
The notion of positive continuous-time Lyapunov system is introduced. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the positivity and the asymptotic stability of this system are established. Using the Kronecker product of matrices sufficient conditions are given for reachability and the Cayley-Hamilton theorem is extended for Lyapunov systems. The considerations are illustrated by numerical examples.
