Abstract :
Advanced data acquisition PC board for frequency-time parameters of electric signals is described. The proposed DAQ board has 4 channels for high precision multifunctional conversion based on new methods of the dependent count. It is perfectly suited to any applications where frequency-time parameters and sensors output signal, have to be measured with the highest precision during the nonredundant conversion time. The DAQ boards cover all specified converted range of frequencies and accuracy range for frequency-time domain sensors. There are 11 modes of measurement in each channel: frequency; period, phase shift, time interval, duty-cycle, duty-off factor, pulse number, frequency (period) difference, frequency (period) ratio, rotation speed or acceleration, pulse width (or spacing interval). The programmable quantization error can be chosen from the range 0.1 divide 0.0001 %. The reference clock frequency (f0) is 100 kHz divide 10 MHz, frequency measuring range (fx) 0.01 Hz divide10 (25) MHz without prescalling. There is a possibility to set up the conversion error before measurement or change it during the conversion process. The modelling results have completely confirmed the high metrological performances of DAQ board
