Abstract
One of the most successful algorithms that bring realism in the world of 3-D generation is fast phong shading. The digital image data is rapidly expanding in quantity and heterogeneity. The traditional information retrieval techniques does not meet the user´s demand, so there is need to develop an efficient system for content based image retrieval. Content based image retrieval means retrieval of images from database on the basis of visual features of image such as color, texture etc. Taylor series algorithm is use the concept of fast phong shading algorithm that is appropriate for hardware implementation. In content-based image analysis and retrieval, fast phong shading concept is used to calculate intensity. Performance is evaluated and effectiveness of our retrieval algorithm has been shown through comparative studies. A fast and simple method for rendering an object with polygon surfaces is fast phong shading. In this paper we apply fast phong shading concept to increase the retrieval rate. Content based image analysis and retrieval is very fast technology use to calculate the intensity of polygon surfaces and the flattering out dull surfaces.
