Abstract :
The Golden Code is the best known Space Time Block Code (STBC) so far. This code is an optimal code as it satisfies the properties of full rank, full rate and non-vanishing determinants and achieves diversity multiplexing tradeoff. In this paper we have applied Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) over frequency selective channels and compared the performance of Golden STBC with and without Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). The proposed Golden STBC-OFDM scheme provide lower value of peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) as compared to Alamouti STBC based OFDM scheme.
