Abstract :
The use of network in a control loop has gained increasing attentions in recent years. One of the major challenges in this networked control system (NCS) is the network-induced delay effect in the control loop. Network delays can degrade the NCS performance and even destabilize the system. A lot of scholars focus on developing control methodologies to handle this network delay effect on NCS and have made much progress. But most people only study the situation under which network delay is less than one sampling period. Large delay in NCS is more complicated and still under researching. This paper presents recent control methodologies of large delays in NCS and makes some prospect for this problem.
