  • Abstract
Discusses the use of the impedance cardiogram (ICG) obtained from a two electrode system in comparison with the standard 4 electrode configuration. Improved sensitivity and specificity when the ICG is synchronised with the R wave component of the ECG suggests that it can be a valuable discriminating factor in detecting `shockable´ ventricular arrhythmias especially ventricular tachycardia
