Abstract :
While internet gets rapid growth, the demand of service gets a rapid growth. As the trunk network is tending toward perfection, the bandwidth of access network is becoming the bottleneck of service needs. Ethernet passive optic network (EPON) is a new technology which is considered one of the best solution of access network. This paper discussed the multicast mechanism in FTTH device, analysis and compares some multicast protocol, gives two multicast filtering mechanism. Finally a solution of multicast based on LLID in EPON system is presented.
