Abstract :
The staff of the Newburgh, NY, Enlarged City School District queried whether their students would be prepared to enter the workforce of the rapidly changing, highly technological, environmentally conscious world of the 21st century. Were the courses equipping the students with the maths, science, technology, and communication skills they needed? Sensing this concern, the authors embarked upon a multi-faceted approach to career preparation. In buildings throughout the school district, a series of unique workplace simulations have been created for all K-12 students
