Abstract :
A simple equation for generated power of piezoelectric devices was developed for the case in which deflection is fixed. The generated power equation is expressed in terms of stiffness, resonant frequency, deflection and electromechanical coupling coefficient k2. The generated power equation shows that power is not a function of quality factor Q under this condition. The power output produced by three piezoelectric cantilevers with a variation in dimensions, k2, natural frequency, and stiffness was measured and compared to the model of the generated power. The model and experiment agreed very well
