Abstract
A conventional wire communication system communicates between powered terminals via the main unit. The DC power of the powered terminal is obtained by rectifying the voltage signal from the main unit. In this system, the main unit communicates with the powered terminal by changing the voltage signal to the positive and the negative. The powered terminal communicates with the main unit using the reply current signal. Because this system is used for on-off control, the communication speed is slow at about 10 kbps. Therefore, we propose an add-on type multiplex module. This module transmits a signal of higher speed than the conventional system in the region where the voltage signal from the main unit is steady. This paper describes the basic characteristics of the proposed multiplex module.
