  • Abstract
A holographic technique based on the method of auxiliary sources (MAS) for microwave and ultrasonic imaging is presented. The essence of the method is the visualization of the scattered field singularities (SFS). The idea is that any discontinuity of the electromagnetic characteristics of the investigated media causes remission of the incident field and represents the SFS of the scattered field. The proposed imaging method is sensitive to such singularities and gives the possibility to visualize and detect the insertions in the area under investigation
