Abstract :
A thin-walled flat elastic inclusion of low rigidity is perfectly bonded to a surrounding elastic matrix and subjected to an incident plane harmonic SH-wave. The displacement fields in the wave zone of a scatterer are evaluated to the null order by the methods of matched asymptotic expansions and boundary integral equation, with the thickness-to-diameter ratio as the perturbation parameter
