Abstract
This paper presents a study of the optimization of induction motor losses under speed regulation. First, the modelling of the motor losses is made. Then, a sensorless speed control approach is proposed which minimizes the motor losses at steady state. The control variable of the optimum operation of the drive is the slip speed. Simulation examples are shown.
