Abstract
Paper concerns a simple approach for elimination of the fixed objects´ impact on the raw measurement data in a certain UWB imaging system. Principle of the system´s operation is grounded on the utilization of the revolving movement of an object under test for calculation of its cross-section. Matrix of reflected signals approaching at different angles is stored during the measurement process and consitutes afterwards a base for image calculation. Since system utilizes baseband pulses, the reflection from fixed objects cannot be eliminated by utilizing the Doppler shift. Thus they are contributing to the resulting image and causing interferences. Approach presented in this paper is strongly related to the Doppler filtering and signal processing employed in ISAR imaging, yet it is performed on a baseband, time-windowed signal.
