Abstract :
The application peculiarities and the principles of electric drive design for stop valves as well as shut-off and control valves are presented in this paper. The electric drives generating control functions by means of Texas Instruments digital signal processors are based on the PWM transistor inverters and thyristor regulators. The electrical drives consist of the flameproof enclosure converter, the explosion-proof induction motor and the harmonic drive unit. General properties of the intelligent drives of EleSy (Russia) are provided as well.
