  • Abstract
Common component architecture (CCA) is component-based software architecture for high-performance scientific applications. In this architecture, the components are parallel entities that are connected directly or in a distributed manner. Grid-based systems are a kind of distributed systems, whose goal is to create the illusion of a simple yet large and powerful self managing virtual computer out of a large collection of connected heterogeneous systems, sharing various combinations of resources. Avaki is a platform for grid-based systems that is responsible for the goal. In this paper we introduce a distributed CCA framework and programming model for running and sharing components in a "data grid" or "computing grid". This framework reuses many Avaki platform and CCA concepts. With this framework developers can construct and run CCA based softwares in grid-based systems, where users can share data and components.
