Abstract
Who wants and who needs which information in the cement plant? While each company has to find its own answer to the organisational aspects of this question, the paper gives some examples on requests and suggestions, made recently in that regard. Of equal importance are the technical aspects of integrating and organising the data from various operational areas, e.g. laboratory, control room, dispatch centre, etc. in one common database, easily accessible by anyone in the organisation with the appropriate authorisation, be it for maintenance, for process analysis or for financial evaluations
