Abstract
We propose a new technique for coherent transmission over multipath Rayleigh fading channels, based on the use of one special case of time-frequency well-localized orthonormal functions, namely the prolate spheroidal wave functions (PSWF). Acceptable SER performances are obtained until values of about 0.1 of the channel´s spread factor
