Abstract :
This paper presents a classification for new service development process models that helps to select an appropriate model for a certain development effort. For this, a classification framework based upon a general understanding of process models is presented and discussed. With this framework, existing process models will be classified accordingly. As a result it will be possible to judge upon the adequacy of a development model within a Service Engineering effort and select accordingly.
