Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a simplified explanation for the polyphase matrix factorization using the linear algebra property of unitary matrix. The main purpose of this is for the generation of the parametric wavelets, using which we can obtain the optimized filter coefficients for specific application. Rotation matrix due to its unitary property has a significant importance in the polyphase factorization. We have also shown that polyphase matrix is unitary and the product of any number of unitary matrixes is again unitary.
