Over the past two decades, market forces have driven fiber optic connector manufacturers to increase the ease of installation of the products they sell. In this paper, the biconic, ST, Hot Melt ST, and Crimplok ST connectors will be examined to determine which features have been developed or improved in order to enhance installability
