Abstract :
On the shallow water acoustic channel, the transmission systems are exposed to some severe working constraints link to, on the one hand, the channel´s non-stationarity and on the other hand, the presence of multiple paths. In order to solve these problems we suggest a multicarrier transmission system based on the OFDM principle which implementation by means of DFT is quite simple. The performance of such a transmission was evaluated from experiments carried out in the ocean and led to satisfying results
