Abstract :
The use of graphical software tools has a favorable effect on imparting technical facts in fields of education. In order to profit by the visual effect the principle of interactive parameter modification is used in this work. Besides a cyclical program execution the knowledge of the system-describing equations are required. The graphical programming system LabVIEW meets these requirements and it has been used to visualize the field-oriented control principle. This work describes two software tools, which were developed to improve the understanding of the field-oriented control. These visual tools are particularly focused on students but also on engineers in fields of education including lectures, exercises, practical trainings and through self-study, too
