Abstract :
From the single dipole model of the heart, there is a theoretical linear transformation that exists between the 12 lead and Frank lead ECGs. Using the CSE multilead database, the matrices to transform the 12 lead to the Frank lead ECGs were found for 125 recordings. An analysis of the matrices shows there is the wide variation of the individual matrix coefficients suggesting that the use of a universal matrix is inappropriate
