Abstract :
Composite right/left-handed metamaterial antennas for dual-band and dual-mode applications are presented. In particular, the fundamental backward wave of an anisotropic composite right/left-handed metamaterial is used to realize a dual-band antenna. By using the infinite wavelength and backward wave of the composite right/left-handed metamaterial, a dual-mode antenna for radiation selectivity is realized.
