Abstract
Recently, the NURBS parametric curve is concerned in interpolator applications because of the feasible representation of arbitrary motion contours. However, the copious and complicated operations make the NURBS interpolators need faster CPUs in implementation and the cost is thus increased. In this paper, to significantly reduce the computation time, the NURBS operation is implemented by applying the extended branch structures with the moving data registers. Analysis and simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm needs few operators in implementation and the computation time is significantly reduced.
